Ongoing Efforts for the Hospitality Industry During COVID-19

Our economy is going to be hit hard from the domino effects of the coronavirus global pandemic. As a point-of-sale company, our hearts really hurt for everyone in the hospitality and food service industries. For the owners who’ve had to close up shop and the employees who no longer have a paycheck.

A few days ago, St. Patrick’s Day, one of the biggest holidays for bars and restaurants, came and went without much celebrating resulting in many businesses missing out on a lot of green. It’s hard enough to thrive in this industry under normal circumstances, let alone during chaotic times as these. And it’s no fault of the businesses.

At VersiTech, we’re doing everything we can to proactively help our community here in the Portland area, and nationally. We’ve been sharing these initiatives through email and social media, and we thought it’d be helpful to compile all these resources in one place. Here are some of the ways we’re helping our hospitality industry community, along with some other awesome organizations that are stepping up.

Apply for financial aid

First off, if your business is being severely affected by the coronavirus, you can apply for financial assistance to ease the burden of revenue lost during this crisis. Click here to apply.

Sharing your updates

We know many of you are using social media to share updates with customers about new hours, take-out services, or simply that you’re still open. Tag @VersiTech in these types of posts and we’ll re-share that content with our followers to help get the word out.
